Growing up on Chicago’s East Side with one parent dead and the other battling drug addiction, Sharod has only one goal: make it to the NBA and create a better life for his twin brother, Bang, and their sister. While Sharod dreams of becoming a basketball star, Bang has a much darker ambition—to become the most feared killer the city has ever seen.
Along with two stickup kids named Arab and Dale, the twins are manipulated by an old friend whose betrayal turns all their lives upside down. A string of robberies and a failed hit carried out by Bang makes them targets of ruthless men determined to reclaim their money and settle the score in blood.
Will Sharod’s NBA dreams come true, or will he be forced to put down the basketball and pick up a gun? Can Arab and Dale survive after stealing from the wrong man? And after losing everyone who ever meant anything to him, will anyone survive the wrath of Bang?
