Death Of A Side Chick by Lo-Life

Uniquha Gordon is a single black mother from the hood, who’s also tasked with being a homicide detective. One winter morning, a mutilated body turns up on the side of the highway. It appears to be an open and shut case, but things aren’t what they seem. 
As Detective Gordon fights to figure out the guilty party, she also has to deal with the chaos of her personal life. 
With two unruly kids and a baby daddy who’s incarcerated, she has to find a way to balance it all, while at the same time solving this gruesome murder. But there are other factors at play. 
Each step Uniquha takes towards solving the case, the more danger she places herself and her family in. With her back against the wall, every move she makes must be a calculated one. Will she be able to solve the case before she’s met with an untimely demise or will the grim reaper close the case on her existence?
